SIMPSON BAY--Sint Maarten Yacht Club (SMYC) is buzzing with life as competitors arrive for the 36th edition of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. Registration opens on Wednesday, with an estimated 2,000 sailors from 32 different countries participating and many thousand more visitors arriving in St. Maarten for the legendary party atmosphere.

SIMPSON BAY--Organisers of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta were advised late on Friday, February 19, one week before the 36th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, that the long-awaited subsidy payment for last year’s 2015 event will not be made by the Government of St. Maarten.

PHILIPSBURG --St. Maarten Marine Trades Association (SMMTA) intends to look into once again hosting a St. Maarten Boat Show, which will be an economic booster.
